Everything about them is super strong: super strong hold, super sticky discs, super shiny and polished finish. I was disabled by arthritis so I had to retire early but I'm still very active at heart. So I have a lot of hobbies that keep me busy. Most of my hobbies involve keeping my fingers and arms flexible and creative. I make jewelry, do a lot of metal and wire work, do needlework like cross stitch, restore damaged vintage and vintage linens, and embroider. I keep dropping needles, pieces of wire, pieces of metal, etc. I have a magnet that I use to find dropped needles and other pieces. I definitely don't want my cat stepping on it or swallowing anything harmful. The magnet used is very strong. I bought it at a fabric store to hold pins or attach patterns to metal plates. These magnets are at least 5 times stronger. I love that with one of the included super sticky discs I can easily attach a long thread or string to it and just slide it around my workspace. You can easily find my lost items even if they are stuck in the carpet. I also run it all over my body when changing clothes to make sure I haven't forgotten or missed a single needle. Ouch! The only problem I have is getting them apart. As soon as I pulled one out - victory! The rest will bring him back. Grrr. I love her. They really have a million uses. Excellent.
