I have bought more of these lava strips and they are good for chewing to wear teeth. My male chinchilla doesn't really like to chew, so this takes a while, but a younger female will destroy them in just a week or two. The main issue I see with them is the obvious workmanship of how the tabs attach to the screw and mounting assembly. The ledges snap off the screw that is placed and glued into the lava ledges so a ledge is not entirely safe for adult chinchillas as if the attachment fails the chinchilla may fall off these ledges if it becomes unstable or literally turns . . If a chinchilla falls from a height, it can cause injury. It's not worth it.
