Review on 🏍️ LS2 Valiant II Modular Helmet by John Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best from both worlds!

I was a bit hesitant to spend that much money on a helmet because there are cheaper options. However, I was looking for something truly convertible because I like to drive both open face and full face depending on the condition or situation. Most modular helmets just flip up, which is pretty ugly and creates a weird airflow around the head when it's upside down. I was intrigued by the design of this helmet and when I received it I was not disappointed. The chin bar actually rotates 180 degrees, exposing the visor and wrapping around the back of the helmet cleanly and aerodynamically, allowing you to ride open-faced without sacrificing airflow or looking like a total jerk. The helmet is comfortable and light. I like the chin strap. My head size 23 1/2 is the upper limit of plus size. I switched to XL and I'm glad I did. I have a round head - it's very snug on me and when the chin bar is down it's REALLY snug on my cheeks. I hope it doesn't come off too much after the foam breaks through. A few pleasant surprises. A camouflage helmet backpack is included in addition to the standard helmet bag. It came with a Pinlock fog shield insert. It also has nice deep in-ear pockets to accommodate intercom speakers without compromising the fit. I would definitely recommend this for those who want to work both open face and full face at different times. with a very smooth 180 flip mechanism. Like I said in the beginning - I was hesitant to spend over $300 on a helmet - but I feel like I have 2 helmets in 1!
