Review on SKYTECH Gaming Archangel Desktop Computer - 30" Curved Gaming Monitor by Marcus Lopez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent price and reliable slot machine

So this is the second SkyTech PC I've bought and again it was because the price for parts to build my own was a bit high (COVID-19 has made GPUs scarce and expensive). At this point my first PC is over 2 years old and I just wanted to upgrade its GPU, but everything I was looking for was either missing or incredibly expensive (the 1660 Super was around $400 at the time). So I chose this machine, it had many parts I wanted: AMD 5 3600, 16GB RAM, GTX 1660 Super, B450 motherboard (I was looking at B550 though). I'm not disappointed. The car is wonderful and was delivered without a single defect. It launched on the first try and went straight into Windows, all the RGB elements worked perfectly. I ran a series of tests after he set up Windows and was happy to see that the SSD wasn't an utter disgrace as some had previously claimed, and around 530MB/s sequential read at 1GB and 514MB/ s reached in writing. It's not lightning fast, but it was better than I expected after reading the reviews. I received a 500GB ADATA SU720 drive model in my build and this read/write time is what is advertised for this drive so I have no complaints. I immediately installed an NVMe drive as well as a smaller 256GB SSD for games and other files. Storage was my only real build issue, but adding storage isn't a problem (although it's a little tricky to route the power cables from the PSU, the cables are all tied up pretty well, and I had to cut a zip-tie to fix one get free power cable for my SSD). Unlike the model pictured, my build came with a B450M/AC, so it had Wi-Fi built into the motherboard instead of the PCI slot. This was a nice surprise and also meant the motherboard had 4 DIMM slots instead of 2 (as I've seen some people have in their builds). The RAM I received was OLOY brand which is actually Chun Well Technologies and it was regular RAM no heat spreaders or anything special but it was powerful memory with 16-18-18-36 at 1, 3V, clocked at 100MHz with a 15x multiplier, which gives you 1500MHz DDR, so that's a total of the advertised 3000MHz. I'm not sure what GPU I have, but I'm guessing it's MSI branded based on the I/O panel (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort). It's a compact, single-fan unit and I'm quite happy with it, although I would have preferred a non-DVI model and a second DisplayPort or HDMI connection instead. Overall I'm very happy with this machine, the quality, finish, parts and performance exceed my expectations and with the $200 Cyber Monday sale discounted it was a pretty good deal. Edit: So Cyberpunk 2077 dropped and despite poor reception it ran at 60fps at 1080p on this machine. I'm not a crazy hardcore gamer looking for 4k and ray tracing, I was very pleased that my new computer ran the game with no hardware issues and high graphics performance.
