I bought this unit a while back because I was impressed that it was a vertical unit and not a flat horizontal extension. It also has an impressive 14 power connectors. I was planning to use it under my desk to connect many of my computer peripherals. After unpacking I was disappointed with the design. It's very easy. I have other multiple socket extension cords with fewer sockets but twice the weight. 16 gauge main power wire, thicker than regular power wire but much smaller than heavy 10 gauge wire. 14 different devices seems too big for this meager cable. I decided not to entrust all my connections to this powerhouse and to leave them as they are. I think it's probably a good device that can power lamps, printers etc, but sensitive electronics, not for me.
