I have a brass cleaner with no name and now I have Weller brand brass tip cleaning balls. Apart from the fact that WELLER's brass cleaners are perhaps a bit thicker, I don't see any difference. They both work fine. My only concern is that other grades of brass alloys are harder than WELLER grades. Brass is an alloy of primarily copper and zinc, but can be much harder than copper. You just don't know * You can use solid copper scrubbing brushes, which you can buy at any department store and are also cheaper. You can get 10 packs of pure copper scrubbers for about $10 here at Revain.
