I bought these to prevent accidental use of the webcam. For both of my laptops, the shape and design was a perfect fit and still let the light to the left of the camera, which glows during use, shine because it wasn't blocking it. The slider is easy to use and stays in place when closed. They are thin enough to hardly interfere with closing your laptop lid. Overall the device worked exactly as described and I had no problems with it. It blocks the camera and looks exactly as described in the pictures.
