My biggest complaint about the Apple Remote was how easily it slides off a surface when left down for a minute. Tell me about the headache of trying to find a remote control that fell between a sofa cushion or under an ottoman because it slipped down. This rubberized or vulcanized "condom" for the Apple TV Remote, as I've affectionately renamed it, has become one of my favorite Apple accessories of late. The condom will not block the remote control buttons and/or signal and the TV remote control is better protected from dirt/dust and oil from your fingers and/or liquids and food spills. Recommend
