The drawstring didn't work very well but we could still use the shorts
a bit loose. My son was still wearing them and the shorts stayed up but he was a bit uncomfortable with them riding lower than he wanted. Otherwise they are good. He likes the look, the length. I just wish we could tighten the cord.
