Bought this to get rid of the much noisier exhaust fan we had in our master bathroom. Due to the spread of Covid, the SurfaceShield germicidal component seemed like a good addition to me, so I went with it. Pros: - The light is pretty cool. It can get a little intense when it's very dark outside, but it does an excellent job at night, providing just enough light to relieve yourself without having to turn on anything bright. The fan is quiet and powerful. There are 3 settings, mine is in the middle. The tone is about 1 tone, does not rattle, which is nice. Especially when you first turn it on. Excellent at removing moisture when showering. Does what it should. Cons: - A bit pricey, if you don't need SurfaceShield you can get something comparable, seems a lot cheaper. - I couldn't install it myself. I think any Vent fan would be a problem - the mounting brackets and previous installation made this very difficult for me. I would recommend that you think about it before buying a fan and have it leveled (unless it's a new install). In general I am satisfied with the purchase.
