My first impression is that they are well constructed with quality materials, definitely better than I expected for the price. They're windproof and claim to be waterproof and breathable, but I haven't had a chance to test that yet. They're stretchy and fit well, you can put on shoes with overlays attached, and you can adjust the Boa dials through the overlays with a bit of effort. They have no isolation. So if you want to add a lot of heat, this isn't what you need. UPDATE: I've used them a few times on trips that included: - Major bike trails. through sandy rock debris - snatching lots of fallen branches off the trail - climbing around fallen trees while you're clearing them - other things these overshoes really aren't designed for. because there are spikes on the soles of my shoes, but that's understandable and they're intact everywhere. There is also slight fraying on the edges where the Kevlar meets the tops of the fingers. I'll give them a good wash and cover the frayed areas with shoo goo or something similar to protect them a bit. If I ever buy another pair I will do so before using them. They are definitely windproof and I haven't had any water ingress from spray. All in all I can't complain considering how much I abused her.
