A slight dead zone in the volume control at the lowest setting really wasn't a problem due to the noise the SXS was making, it never played at low frequencies except this one a lot good amplifiers, pleasant and loud, while being clean, transparent and waterproof. I installed it as high as possible under the dash to keep it dry and lets just say I found a hole deeper than I thought the little amp was playing all the music. Way through the other side never had a problem
