I had nothing but problems with the 82 Nissian SD22 engine running out of fuel until I installed this filter in place of the original factory filter. Apparently they stopped making the original SD22 diesel engine filter in 82 Nissan or Datsun which is actually a strainer. When I bought it from the parts store it looked exactly the same from the outside but wouldn't let any diesel through. because it was (I think) for petrol engines. After installing the iFJF R12T fuel filter on my small pickup, I had no fuel delivery problems. It's been a little over a month but before I couldn't do ten miles, now I've put more miles on it with no problems and I'm starting to like my little diesel pickup truck again.
