I have this to spray pans with olive oil before cooking. My current practice of spraying a pan with olive oil and swirling it around as it heats doesn't work (on nonstick pans anyway; cast iron is fine). The olive oil never spreads, and if it does, it quickly retreats when you stop spinning. I was hoping this would solve the problem as spraying store bought cooking spray on the pan or greasing the bottom with oil isn't a problem. So this sprayer somewhat solves the problem. When I washed it off I splashed water on it and it created the perfect mist I was looking for. Unfortunately, when using olive oil, the mist is not as fine and sprays vertically rather than circularly. I will still use it as it is better than my previous method. But I'm still looking for a mist that gives me a really fine mist with olive oil.
