Review on ๐Ÿฒ Granite Ware 8-Quart Black Preserving Kettle: Efficient and Stylish by Lori Uniacke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not exactly as advertised.

Incorrect country of origin for this kettle in the product description. This kettle I have received is now made in Mexico but is exceptionally well made and the metal is thicker than my granite cookware 0707-1 Steel/Porcelain Kettle with Stand 21.5 Quart Black which still is is made in the USA. Now I'm an "empty nest" and much of my canned and canned food has been heavily reduced to accommodate smaller portions. Haven't used it to preserve jellies and jams yet. I use it to prep veggies and pickles for hot packing jars before processing. My 16 liter Presto Canner holds 8 wide mouth pints and 10 regular pints. This kettle is ideal for heating vegetables or liquids before serving in half liter glasses. It is also convenient to heat vinegar and spices for pickling. The auxiliary handle makes it easier to move when loaded with ingredients. The only thing this kettle doesn't have is a spout on the side opposite the auxiliary handle. Spout Spout makes this product 5 stars.
