This product does what it's supposed to do: opens the engine airflow and draws air from a colder spot. I used to breathe 120 degrees Fahrenheit air out of the engine bay, now the temperature is around 90 when the car starts and drops to 80 when I move. Mind you, it's the Texas heat! In general, gasoline is consumed more efficiently. More power for a given amount of fuel, therefore more speed for a given amount of fuel, hence the need for less fuel. Fuel consumption has increased, power has increased, everything is fine.
