Jig does a good job leveling wood and creating a pocket. The instructions should indicate that the pilot hole should not be fully traversed. The self-drilling screw drills the last quarter inch. In order to fully utilize the clamping force, special screws must be used. Screw sizes are based on actual workpiece thickness (0.75 inch), not nominal thickness (1 inch). This is not well explained either.
