The plug does not hold in the socket, the light bulb is too loose and does not seal. The wiring is too short.

The only good thing about the backlight is its brightness, hence the two stars in the review. Next to. Plug 7440 isn't connected to anything, you plug it in and it immediately falls out. The only way to keep it in place is to hold it and wrap tape around the base of the plug/socket. You don't do that with a new car. The actual landing of the bulb's rubber base is junk, guaranteed to let moisture into the case. It fits so loosely that you almost don't have to squeeze it to put it in the slot and it's very easy to recall them, again maybe some tape can hold them but it shouldn't be. Lastly, the wiring is only about 2.5 inches long, making it difficult to plug into a factory outlet unless the factory pigtail is that long. To be honest for the price they cost look elsewhere, each of these "push type" bulbs is the same as it seals/sits in the housing. Better to get something that actually sits and twists to lock like a factory. Pretty unfortunate, the only nice thing was the brightness when my friend stuck the plug in the socket so I could at least see it.
