I thought these pants felt very tight when we first got them. But they have definitely gotten softer with multiple washes. My son wore them to school about once a week for 7 months. Though not by much, he came home looking like he'd spent most of his time digging ditches or fixing cars. So I had to brush my knees before doing a lot of laundry. In that respect they have held up very well. I would definitely order this brand again. They fit as expected.
