This particular carrier is really good for small to medium sized pets. It's definitely not good for dogs, I'd say golden retriever sized. The other thing is that I'm really not sure if it's going through or into a plane, so keep that in mind as well. I don't usually travel on planes with my dog, so I can't tell you. But it works great for my road trips. I can rest assured that my pet will be safe when traveling. It folds for easy storage, which is very convenient. It also makes a great spare bed for my dog when he travels with me. The wheels can be locked to keep it from slipping. The lid can also be lowered to provide shade for your dog or cat. You can also secure the flap at the top with Velcro to keep it open. The inside is very breathable, so it doesn't get too hot or too cold inside. It protects against bugs quite well. Mesh nets keep mosquitoes away. It's definitely NOT waterproof, but it can take a little drizzle. You can put pillows and such inside if you want a little more comfort, but the inside is pretty soft. It can be carried around but be aware that it is heavier, especially if you have a medium sized dog. He can handle two small animals. The wheels move fairly smoothly, making it easy to move the machine around when needed. Overall, this is a good pet carrier. It fits well in the van, locks the wheels to keep it from rolling around, and fits my pets comfortably. The only thing I would like to say about this is do not leave it in the sun as the color will fade.
