Bought to replace a cheaper leveraged suction cup soap basket I bought at my local hardware store that had stood for over a year but fell off about every 3 weeks. Followed the installation instructions. Installed on a standard 4x4 gloss glazed ceramic tile, thoroughly cleaned of all scum with a soft sponge and 91% alcohol to remove all scum and other residue, pressed onto pad to remove all air, cup and basket placed and screw twisted until I couldn't turn around anymore. Came back within an hour to apply more spins. And it was on the shower floor. Soak the swab in hot water for a few minutes and repeat the process on the other tile. Wait less than an hour again. As a last resort, I repeated the process but applied a very thin layer of silicone lube to the pad (it always improves the grip on my old suction cup). Same result. Repeated all steps with extra backup pad without success. never lasted more than an hour. I went back to using my old leverage suction cup which lasts at least a couple of weeks. With all the good reviews, I suspect my pads were defective. I couldn't return as I tried outside the return window. Sorry because it's a beautiful basket. but mine was completely useless.
