Let me first say that with all the paid reviews here I have not received any compensation for my review. I paid $149 on Revain.com as you are now considering; So I thought a really unbiased review was needed! I don't spend a lot of time writing a lot of reviews, but when I come across a product that turns out to be awesome or fantastically awful, I feel like I should let others know. In that case, the DeLonghi Slim Style DeLonghi America HCX9115E Slim Style Convector is a fantastic product! Few companies, including Apple, understand that a product that works well and looks good at the same time becomes a real hit. and DeLonghi must have read the memo when they designed this heater! I don't have this heater in the corner, but right in the media room of my basement. because it looks good heating my room! Not only is this heater completely silent 99.999% of the time, it also uses some electricity, like the Honeywell oil-filled electric heater I used. The DeLonghi convector has an economy mode and a real thermostat that adjusts the heating parameters for you. I was a bit shocked that it didn't come with a remote control, but I quickly realized that the remote control isn't needed. The heater will heat the room you place it in to the temperature you set, and all without any fuss. When a lot of heat is needed quickly, the very quiet fans arrive and my goodness they work! My basement will go from 50 to 70 degrees in about 30 minutes compared to about 2 hours with the oil cooler I use. The freeze protection setting is a great feature that will heat up the room you place it in enough to prevent pipes from freezing/bursting while you're away from home! The radiant heater comes with both feet and a wall bracket. I decided to install legs on my heater because I wanted to keep it portable. No wheels are needed as this heater is very light. especially compared to the oil cooler I used! I've read in other reviews that the legs break if knocked over, but that doesn't bother me. The legs are small enough that you don't have to worry about breaking them, but big enough to securely hold the heater upright. The flashover and overheat protection features give me peace of mind knowing they're protecting me and my home! The heater looks well made and all parts fit together perfectly! The heater is made entirely of metal, except for the legs and the control panel, which are made of plastic. The control panel is on the right side of the oven and is stylishly angled so it doesn't stand out, which is a good thing! The touch control panel is very sensitive in dry weather! I have a Type A personality and whenever I'm looking for a product to buy, I spend a "significant amount" of time doing research to make sure I buy the product. The product is of good quality and lasts a long time. Also, I always try to make sure that every product I buy is energy efficient. What most people don't seem to realize is that when they save some money by buying a cheaper product, they usually have a huge long-term cost that outweighs the initial difference in product cost by a lot! This long-term cost acts as a silent tax on people who don't do the necessary research to find and understand the value of such a product. These costs usually show up as higher electricity bills when using this product! Not so with this heater, it has a very high build quality and looks solid enough that it will last a very long time! Plus, I already know that this will save me money every month just by using it! Result. If you are looking for an energy efficient heater that performs well and looks good at the same time then seriously consider purchasing the DeLonghi Slim Style convector heater, it is worth every penny!
