koala double sharpener is interesting but there are flaws. The design of the wooden blocks and blades is new, minimalist and light. It is suitable for standard and large pens. However, it doesn't hold pencils well and graphite builds up on the inner surfaces of the holes. It can deliver the surprisingly long tip of a standard pencil (like the Mitsubishi 9850 HB in the attached photo). It also sharpens the Koala Bear Claw 2B (see photo) well - but only after the pencil has been 'conditioned' in a crank-style sharpener (like the Boston KS), which rounds the edges on a factory pre-sharpened point.
