Review on AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: Unlocked 6-core Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler for Desktops by Wiktor Franko ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

It stands under the DeepCool Gammax 400EX tower (without a second fan, moved to the back wall of the case), CoolerMaster Mastergel Maker thermal paste. DeepCool Matrexx 55 mesh case, with 3 120mm fans for blowing in and one for blowing out. Has some pros: - Productive; - Takes the declared frequencies; - Latest generation on am4 (ideal for upgrading from 1600/2600/3600 etc.); - Started up without problems on my MSI B450m Mortar Max; - Cold enough (I use in stock); - For 11-12k - great. Cons below: - Hotter than the 1600AF I had before (also stock). ~64C (5600) at the hottest point vs. ~57C (1600) in the stress test. In games, on average, it reaches 50-55С versus 43-46С (although, to be honest, I didn’t monitor much, but it’s still clear that the temperature is higher) - The real heat pack is higher than the declared 65W, according to HWinfo, I reached 78W. - Short-term power surges from 1.03 to 1.3-1.34 in the first couple of days strained a little, but as far as I understand, this is the norm. Someone fixes the voltage in the BIOS, but I decided not to do this: a) everything seems to work without any complaints. b) this processor was designed by a battalion of engineers and who am I to know better how it works here .
