These API Filstar pumps are notorious for priming air after only a few months of use. Although I thought mine was bad there was still an air leak after replacing all the top end fittings I found the leak is coming from two parts you open to remove the real motor to close the impeller to clean. Impeller area cleaned as I had it. I took the silicone and went around the printer in 2 falls and carefully watched where the power cord went. Allow the silicone to dry for 24 hours and reinsert the pump. Nice and quiet and no more sucking air!
