I have 3 Fluval 305 and 1 Fluval 206. All of these filters came with a vacuum hose which really sucks. Took advice on a forum to buy home depot tubing but found the 5/8 ID-3/4 OD tubing was very kinked and the 5/8 ID-7/8OD tubing was too stiff. I bought a set of these hoses and I really like them, no more kinks and the hoses are really flexible. I will be replacing all my Fluval tubes with these. This tube also works great with Glass Lily tubes.

Instructions require more details or examples. Initially we had some problems trying to replace them. Finally resorted to a YouTube video that was very good step by step and cleared up some confusion. After replacing the seals, the small leak we had is gone and everything works as it should. Based on the instructions I almost gave 3* for the ease of installation, but once you get the hang of it (watch the video) it shouldn't be difficult.

The description clearly states that it includes hoses that attach to the inlet. These items are also included in the photo for this item. The first set I received didn't have them and I thought maybe it was an accident or they fell out so I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement. This is a replacement tube for my Rena XPL filter. I upgraded my 80 gallon tank to a 210 and the original pipes I cut weren't long enough to reach the top of the 210 so I used a pan under the cabinet to get it working . These API Filstar pumps are notorious for priming air after only a few months of use. Although I thought mine was bad there was still an air leak after replacing all the top end fittings I found the leak is coming from two parts you open to remove the real motor to close the impeller to clean. Impeller area cleaned as I had it. I took the silicone and went around the printer in 2 falls and carefully watched where the power cord went. Allow the silicone to dry for 24 hours and reinsert the pump.

The propeller I received was definitely not the same as the picture. Firstly what I received was blue and not green like the picture. And it was in a very shabby little plastic bag, not a hard plastic sleeve as shown in the picture. After all, this wasn't new; It was definitely a return. I've been an API fan for years, my first XP3 filters are about 10 years old and they work great with this day.
