So I bought these for my porch/staircase to the patio as wood can get very slippery after rain and they looked very nice to begin with. Glow in the dark is enough to be useful without being obnoxious, they are pleasantly abrasive/grippy/non-slip etc. However, unless the wood you use them on is sealed to be completely non-porous is. the glue just doesn't work. It only took a few months for the strips to detach from the stairs and the ones that didn't hold together broke into pieces leaving random pieces on the steps, which is a little worse. Screw battens for these stairs, but as long as you're not using unsealed or bare wood (rough concrete can also be a problem, YMMV) they're probably fine.
