Part of gear 16 worked BUT the part underneath and the bolts on the starter shaft did not fit. BUT I could use the old one. It fits the new movement a little loosely, but once reassembled it worked. The small bracket at the end of the shaft is difficult for ordinary DIYers. After everything was properly seated on the shaft, I clamped the outer round washer and spring as low as possible with a small vice and then installed the small snap ring. I did this using a drill chuck to put it on the shaft. I slowly open the chuck with constant pressure on the ring and it slides off the shaft. I was then able to slide it into the groove it belongs to. I then clamped it so it fits snugly against the shaft. Then he made sure that the washer that was placed on it snapped into place, so to speak. Hope this helps someone.
