Wow! It was fast. Works perfectly!

I have a new MacBook Air. I wanted to set up a new workplace in my dining room (to get out of the office). A tiny screen in the air is good for a lot of things. but wanted more. I pulled out an old monitor and for $15 took a chance and bought this cable. hope it works. It works great! Connected and now to the races. ! Very happy with it. HDMI output from monitor and USBc input to computer. Very easy.
