Review on ACDelco D1534G Original Equipment Instrument by Sean Tops

The symptom was that the dashboard lights would flicker and sometimes go out. I was able to get the light to work (usually) by turning the dimmer up and down a few times. I replaced the original switch assembly with this one and now the light works fine. The whole job literally took less than 15 minutes. You will need to remove the dashboard trim, which is easy to do without tools. I couldn't find a video on replacing just this switch, but if you would like to watch a video to learn how to remove the dashboard trim, try searching "remove GMC dashboard". You don't have to remove the instrument cluster, but the initial steps to remove the trim are the same. The video was actually for 2003-2006 but the dashboard was the same as my 2001 Sierra C3.
