ACDelco D1534G Original Equipment Instrument Review

My dealership told me it would cost me $220 to fix the dashboard. They told me I needed a new headlight switch, instead I took a chance and ordered a headlight switch from Amazon for about $45. In total it took me 45 seconds to completely replace it, turn on the car and BOOM, let there be light! cool Now I can see my speedometer, air conditioner and radio controls at night; I can't believe it was so incredibly easy!

The part fits perfectly. Quick and easy replacement of the original part. This was a solution to the long/constant battery drain issue. The dome light button was intermittently draining the battery. The battery drain problem has long been a problem with GM trucks. The dashboard/panel cluster is another area. They had a dashboard recall for several years. Installation was perfect and the look and style was fully OEM. Installation was easy (just google how to do it, lots of youtube videos to help you), didn't even need to use any tools (I was able to tear off the dashboard trim by hand, not sure if that would work at all ). My headlight and dashboard problems have been fixed. Highly recommend if you are having weird headlight/dash issues or if your switch is broken. Thanks for a great product, AC Delco!

After 14 years and 185,000 miles on a 2002 Chevy Suburban, the dash light dimmer went out. This switch is perfect. Apply the emergency brake, turn the key to Acc and pull the shifter down to gain access, remove the decorative cover, disconnect the wire package from the old dimmer switch and reattach the wire connector to the new switch. and fold back the decorative cover. 15 minutes save you $200 at the dealer. Works great, easy fix, arrived in 1 1/2 days with Revain Prime. Brilliant!

The symptom was that the dashboard lights would flicker and sometimes go out. I was able to get the light to work (usually) by turning the dimmer up and down a few times. I replaced the original switch assembly with this one and now the light works fine. The whole job literally took less than 15 minutes. It was amazing value and fixed a broken light switch on my 2001 GMC Yukon. The dimmer was off so I couldn't see the dash at night including speed, revs, throttle, radio, anything with a dimmer.
