Review on ACDelco D1534G Original Equipment Instrument by David Causillas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixed broken dashboard lights on a 2001 GMC Yukon. Easy installation, no tools required.

It was amazing value and fixed a broken light switch on my 2001 GMC Yukon. The dimmer was off so I couldn't see the dash at night including speed, revs, throttle, radio, anything with a dimmer. I actually took apart a broken old one to fix it and found it pretty primitive for a high tech world. There are actually 3 copper "fingers" spinning back and forth across the panel, working to dim the lights in the dash. Over time, they get dirty, worn out, or whatever happens to the physical switch. In any case, there is no point in wanting to repair it at the expense of a replacement. Installation is easy and requires no tools. Remove the plastic trim on the dashboard around the odometer area by gently prying the small metal tabs out of the holes. To remove it completely, you need to lower the steering wheel. Take out the old one and put it in. To me, the beauty of Revain isn't necessarily about saving a few bucks on a blender or other product, but that you can actually solve a problem by searching "2001 GMC Yukon Dash". the light doesn't work" and find that the solution is not only affordable, but also cheap and simple. I don't know how much the retailer will charge for it, but I'm estimating at least $250. I used information found in other reviews have been posted and just an educated guess from the outside in. I hope this review helps others!
