Bought as an upgrade. I've been using the Corsair Pro Vengeance 16GB on my gaming computer for a few months and they've been really good, but they didn't overclock very well. I read several articles and reviews stating that G.Skill makes RAM more suitable for overclocking, so I decided to give them a try. I've also upgraded to 32GB instead of sticking with 16GB as the prices are cheaper now, but I've also noticed that while most games don't typically use a lot of RAM, like Borderlands 3, I've seen it up to 12GB consumed on my physical memory. On top of that, 16GB just isn't enough if you want to stream with multiple tabs open in the background. So far I am very happy with G.Skill, they are currently running at 3000MHz but I will be playing with overclock this weekend so time will tell. Also, the RGB on them is spot on in terms of brightness, my Corsair kit will blind you if you don't turn them off, they put out the right glow for me, but that's just my opinion. Overall a good set at a good price.
