Works with 2013 MacBook Air and Acer K272HUL monitor. In OS X, the monitor is treated like a TV by default, so the resolution is capped at 1920x1080, colors are washed out, and there's a lot of blowouts (which can be easily adjusted in the system preferences). Apparently this is a common Mac problem and has nothing to do with this adapter. There are workarounds for this, but they are a bit complicated for the average user. If you connect the same laptop with Ubuntu to the same monitor, the display runs at the correct resolution of 2560 x 1440 with no overscan and with perfect picture quality. In other words, if you think you're having problems with this adapter and your Mac, it's not the adapter.
