3 months. I've had it that long. How long is the guarantee on it? First I want to say that I really do care about EVERYTHING I have. I'm not particularly angry that it broke, but I'm upset. I assumed it would take longer than 3 months. It literally just came off, I don't know how or why. I am concerned about multiple design methods after looking at both defective parts. Why isn't the aluminum in the picture properly "welded" or attached to the base and surrounded by plastic, and if so, why isn't the base strong enough? Another thing is why is the aluminum inside so thin/thin in diameter? That's probably why it broke so easily. These are just some of the concerns. I mean it looks good quality, its top half. But not the bottom half. However, it is quite durable. But the base is awesome. I like this thing, but you must be a little stronger. Depending on the support, more stars are awarded. UPDATE: Customer service was really excellent. There were no problems with the exchange. As I said, I really like the product itself. So plus good customer service, I like that.
