Review on πŸ”’ Seal in the Quality: Lund 30002 Genesis Tailgate Seal by James Ortega

Exactly as advertised.

I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra with a blank topper. I have to drive many kilometers on dirt roads to get to my mountain property, and before that the body and side walls of my truck's "box" were covered with very fine dust. I purchased this product after reading the reviews and it worked exactly as advertised. Installation couldn't be easier - I unrolled it and cut the pieces to size. The design gives it just enough width to fill the gaps between the tailgate and the topper and it compresses pretty well to fill in the gaps. The glue has worked flawlessly so far, even on one spot rubbing against the metal lip at the bottom of the tailgate (it shrinks when I close the door and rebounds to close the gap). It took me a minute or two to realize that I had to close the tailgate a little tighter to get it to its fully closed position, but the results have been great - my bed is sealed effectively and I don't have to wash it every time. Time. Two tips: Be sure to trim a bit, as the padding material will stretch when you press on it. I've found the bed to be 3/4" to 1" wide and certainly less for shorter lengths. Take your time installing it too - the adhesive sets quickly and is difficult to move. Approximately 9 inches per foot back off all at once and adjust slowly and it seemed to work well. The price of this item couldn't be beat and so far I would definitely recommend it.I've had it for a couple of months now and it doesn't shrink or wear at all.
