Review on Wireless Coverage Dual Band Extender Deployment by Greg Sullivan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent assistant and many functions at a low price

I've used Meraki, Ruckus, SonicWALL, and several other business access points. I wanted something quick and easy that didn't require any subscription. I'm really surprised at how many features this thing has. multiple virtual access points, planned access point, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It has a really nice graphical interface with a built-in WiFi analyzer. AP mode and Gateway mode are available via POE option. I wanted to use it in repeater mode. I bet if you used the 12V DC input it would activate this feature immediately. I didn't have any of these, so I just used the injector and manually enabled the feature in the webpage code. This worked, but as expected the speed is slightly slower when using a wireless backhaul. The signal strength is decent. It has internal antennas and would be perfect for several in a doctor's office lobby or office.

Pros
  • Working Modes: This wireless access point can set different modes and functions in different scenarios, supports gateway mode and hotspot mode. In access point mode, the device covers other clients and users with wireless network signals and uses Ethernet to connect to other routers to access the WAN. In Gateway mode, the device connects to the WAN through the WAN port, Static IP, DHCP or PPPOE are used to connect to the Internet.
