Review on 🐾 Ideal Pet Products E-Z Pass for Easier Pet Transportation by Michelle Davis

Update: I've only had it for about a month and it's stopped working. I hear the locking mechanism click when I turn it on, but it stays in the unlocked position. I can lock and unlock it by hand but now it's just a regular dog door and only the snow keeps the cats from escaping through it. The motor just doesn't recognize the RFID tag and I have to either cycle it off and on again or switch it to unlocked and back to active to reset it. As a result, the dog was trapped on one side or the other of the door, which should be exactly what he was supposed to solve. One issue I haven't mentioned here is the RFID fob itself. I've had the door for two weeks and it's already showing that the battery in the fob is dead. A reputable seller would make this battery replaceable, but it's impossible to open the key fob without destroying it in the process. Of course, this means that Ideal Pet Products can charge you $25 to replace that $4 part. Flap is not fully closed. I was able to get it to work by cutting the brush off with scissors, but now there are gaps around the valve that let cold air through. The door is pretty flimsy (all plastic) and looks like it should cost $40-50. range, not $150. I bought mine for $30 from Revain stock, but even at that price I'm sorry. It is of little consolation that every other electronic dog flap on the market seems to have the same problems.
