Fast, Accurate Scanning - Bluetooth/2.4GHz - Rechargeable

I was looking for a Bluetooth wireless scanner that could connect to multiple devices. I also wanted a device that could read both 1D and 2D barcodes and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. So after some research I pulled the trigger and ordered the Alacrity 2D Bluetooth/2.4GHz model. The barcode scanner came with a 2.4GHz USB dongle, a USB cable and an instruction manual. The manual is quite well written and explains the operation and various functions of the scanner. The manual also contains dozens of QR codes that are used to program the barcode scanner. (You don't want to lose this user guide.) The included USB cable is used to transfer data and charge the scanner. I went with the Bluetooth connection option (can also be connected to a 2.4GHz USB dongle) and Bluetooth pairing. Getting the scanner for my work laptop was pretty easy, just hold down the scan button for 8 seconds to put the scanner into recognition mode, then connect the computer to the "HD Barcode Scanner". After pairing, I was able to do a few test scans right away. while the scanned codes are seamlessly transferred wirelessly to an open Excel spreadsheet. Note. The scanner will vibrate and beep when the code is successfully scanned. I was also able to change some of the scanner settings by scanning the relevant QR code from the user manual. I've only made a few changes so far, but I'll experiment more as I get more comfortable with what I'm doing. The scanner has not had to be charged since I received it over 3 weeks ago so the run time between charges is quite long. Well. Scanner as an auto power off feature, which also helps save battery power. I just started using this scanner and it does everything I need it to do. Once I use this scanner a little more I will update this review.
