Review on 🚴 Superteam 50mm Clincher Wheelset: High-Performance 700c Carbon Wheels for Road Cycling Racing (White Decal) by Scott Clayton

A little weird at first but then fine

So I needed new wheels, my old oval 527 has started cracking the spokes in the last few months. I needed an excuse to upgrade instead of finding the right spokes and continuing to fix what I had. This would give me a spare set of wheels and hopefully some improvements in looks and performance. In short, they look great! They were packaged very well (although I don't know how the four figure wheels are packaged). I mounted new tires and tubes, everything came up. The 80mm stem of the Conti Race 28 was perfect. And now the first ride. I naturally wanted to relax right in the area, making sure everything is aligned properly, the brakes are working, the wheels aren't falling off, etc. After that was done, I got out of the saddle about a minute later to give it more power, not a bundle, just a jab. Maybe 300 watts. The wheels gave out, I felt a definite sacrifice, a sense of slipping. I found it strange. looked down Maybe thought the spindle holding the cassettes gave out or something. No, everything was fine. Came back on it a bit and slip was felt again. It turned out to be a real turnstile, which I think has been exacerbated even more on the SITE. Not sure if this is normal for a brand new wheelset as the spoke tension was good and fairly constant before the wheels were on the bike. Everything was right and good. I didn't try too hard and rode about 30 miles. I certainly gave him some strength here and there. When I came back I tried a few more snakes and the feeling was gone. I drove another 30 miles there and the positioning gave it some power. I didn't feel any more sag or slippage as the hub and spokes have now reached their end point (I think). I will update the information before the 30 day return period is up and will pass on the updated information. I just have no experience with other "new wheels" so I'm not sure if this is normal or poor quality control. If the spokes had been adjusted correctly from the start, I don't think this movement would have happened. Just a guess. Love the looks, nice packaging, even had a 5-6 step manual test with the wheels which gave it a nice touch of personalization. The bikes were, apart from what I mentioned, ready to ride*, so far so good. The roads I drive on aren't the best, but they're not very bumpy either. Only here and there. The wheels are real and ride well for the first 60 miles.
