Defective or incompatible

I listed my dryer model GE GTDX100EM1WW in the Revain installation manual and it said it would fit my dryer. Well it worked, but after a week or two the prongs started to melt. I only noticed a hair dryer cut after a few minutes. So I decided to remove the panel and take a look. Not good. I'm not sure if this was a faulty part or if this part is technically incompatible with my dryer. Therefore, for safety and efficiency, always replace the EXACT part number. (Return)
