Review on Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Open Studio Headphones - High-Quality Sound for Professionals by Ha Joon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

Purchased for use around the house. Although studio headphones were designed for a different purpose, they are the only headphones in this price range that can compete with others in terms of sound quality and reliability. The frequency response of these ears is in the shape of a V, and both low and high frequencies are emphasized. It is felt that low give in music and games give a cool "punch." [Case in point] The higher the frequency, the brighter the picture and the more immersive the experience. But the bump on the highs is extremely exhausting, and if in a game where the shooting is not continuous, the brain is able to take a break every so often, then listening to aggressive music with a lot of cymbals and guitar cuts nonstop is extremely exhausting. Even after being used for a whole year, the brightness is not entirely gone. It has come to my attention that the majority of the time, I listen to music on low volume while wearing headphones at a low volume. According to the reviews, these ears are among the most comfortable options available, so I decided to give them a try. After sitting in them for a couple of hours, however, the discomfort in the ears starts to become noticeable. But this is one of my features: I have not yet found headphones in which it would be possible to achieve complete comfort; my ears hurt whenever I wear them. The level of comfort offered by these surpasses anything else I've ever experienced. There was an unexpected issue with Twitch, YouTube, and online gaming teammates all of a sudden. Even though I'm not a sound engineer of any kind, I started to notice that the sound of other people's cheap and incorrectly tuned microphones had a jamb-like quality to it, along with clipping and an overestimated signal (wheezing). It escalated into a true form of torment. I used to be able to listen to these authors without any issues, but now I simply can't because my ears are starting to bleed from the pressure. What is heard once can no longer be heard back; I started recognizing jambs even on my usual speakers after this began to happen. When I can, I offer feedback to people and make suggestions regarding how things should be set up. Where people disregard my recommendations, you should stop watching them: ( Because there is nowhere to listen in my city, I made the rash decision to purchase three different models all at once: an open-back Beyerdynamics DT 990 pro, a closed-back Audio Technica ATH-M50x, and an open-back AKG K702 that is famous for its convenience. I did this in the hope of selling the models that I did not need. Because of this, customers walked away as the primary ones responsible for the computer and the many hours of use. In areas that require soundproofing, I use audio equipment in conjunction with a tablet. And the answer that AKG provided was surprisingly unpleasant.

Pros
  • Sound that is crisp and cool Superior ease of use while wearing It is always a pleasure to hold in my hands thanks to the high-quality construction and well-thought-out design.
Cons
  • The high frequencies are very distracting. A slight pinching sensation in the ears And the most serious: unexpected problems with Twitch, YouTube, and in games (see comment for more information).
