This allowed me to hook up the transmission cooler I bought from my local auto parts store without having to cut the metal pipes. I unscrewed the metal pipe connecting the upper part of the radiator. One of these fittings is screwed into the connection to the radiator and the other takes the pipe connection unscrewed from the radiator. I then connected the hoses that came with my transmission cooler from the cooler to the two hose lugs on these fittings. Be sure to connect the hose from the radiator to the lower fitting on the radiator so that it runs up and then connect the upper hose fitting on the radiator to the other fitting where it returns to the transmission pan. This ensures that no air bubbles enter the radiator.
