Surge protection failed - TV and speakers destroyed

I like the design and size of this machine and the reviews have been good. However, the surge protection just didn't work. When I got home one night, I found that both my TV and powered bookshelf speakers had burned out. Both were connected to this device. After fixing both, I confirmed it was due to a power surge. The total damage amounted to more than $1,000 for repairs.</p>
