Great idea and very good product. The only problem, and this is quite important, is that when the boat is in the water, it takes two hands to lower the leg and lock it in place. As with most boats, my stern slopes away from the saloon. The tires REALLY want to float and the pins just don't compress to go in on their own. So I have both hands in the water, one DEEP in the water to hold my hand and the tire and ring while squeezing my other hand hanging over the edge, right in the middle of ONE side of the motor. If you succeed, you can repeat it on the other side. We had to get out in the water, which fell asleep pretty quickly, to turn her around on the outside of the boat. From that first time we kept them down using an adjustment that kept the top of the tires about 1 inch below the bottom of the boat. This works great as my boat is wide enough for the motor to have clearance when I turn it side to side. My only concern is getting caught on a wheel in the water. It's not as expected or advertised, but it's effective.
