It took at least 15 minutes to apply paint to the surface. In this time half of the door could be painted. That's the least of the problems I've encountered. When rolling, the roll fell out of the handle on the side opposite the filling opening. The cap on the filler side of the roller came off and the paint spilled onto the floor. If I were to paint on carpet, that would be a big problem. The reel just doesn't feel tight enough. I threw the whole set in the trash. Cannot recommend this product.
