UPDATE - 12/16/19** Rating changed from 5 to 3 stars. One of the elements failed within 8 days. Water began to leak from the electrical connector through the knot. This is clearly a factory defect and I didn't do anything during the installation. I bought another set hoping to get a 5 star experience like so many other customers. Original Review: I have a 2002 RUUD PE52-2 C 50 gallon water heater. First off I don't think it has been touched since installation. I need a 1-1/2" socket to replace the elements. About 16 to 18 inches of sediment formed at the bottom of the tank. I used a shop vacuum, a 4 foot pole and a metal hanger to clean the tank It took about 6 hours to clean.(This was the worst. I didn't expect it to be that bad or take that long.) Changing cells and electrics after cleaning the tank takes about 5-10 minutes .Very simple. If the product breaks or there are problems I will update this review. As far as I know this is a direct replacement.Be sure to fill the heater before turning the power back on.Easy installation
