I wasn't getting enough hot water from my 12 year old Rheem water heater. I spoke to my neighbor who is a plumber and he said that usually one of the elements deteriorates, especially with age. He offered to replace both while I did. I liked the idea of a kit with both elements and both thermostats. UPDATE - 12/16/19** Rating changed from 5 to 3 stars. One of the elements failed within 8 days. Water began to leak from the electrical connector through the knot. This kit saved me from spending over $500 to replace a 58 gallon water heater.
