Review on πŸ”§ Rheem SP20060 Electric Water Heater Maintenance Kit, 2 by Buddy Camaney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Direct replacement and free price.

I wasn't getting enough hot water from my 12 year old Rheem water heater. I spoke to my neighbor who is a plumber and he said that usually one of the elements deteriorates, especially with age. He offered to replace both while I did. I liked the idea of a kit with both elements and both thermostats. I decided that this was how I would replace anything that might be causing a problem as these are electrical parts and power can go out at any time. Good instructions on the back of the packaging. I also purchased a "Camco 5" wrench for residential water heater fasteners - fits all standard fasteners (09883)" and I highly recommend that you purchase this. You will need it to do the Pulling items out. You may need a little bit of penetrating lube on the threads like mine, but that's ok. Although it doesn't say "ROM" on the box, they fit the old parts exactly. I've included them in the past Seen this way by other brands of appliances Well, and it's the same part number as on the Rheem website.
