Bought this camera to use in a business environment for visiting the office. The first impression of the packaging and the feel of the device is good. Nice case included. Including instructions, USB charging cable, 16 GB memory card and instructions. I used to have PerfectPrime devices and was happy with them. I particularly liked their CO2 meters as I found them to be the most accurate of the others I've tried. So before buying, I read reviews of their other thermal imagers and noticed the flaws people were talking about. However, this camera seems to fix problems with other cameras that have them. So, my experience here is: 1. It took some time after power on for Android OS to boot. I went into the menu and did a factory reset. It seems to be triggering some kind of update, after which the camera loads much faster now. Now notice that the first boot only takes about 10-15 seconds. When it's in standby mode, the device turns on immediately, which is nice. No delay. The camera is very easy to use. I didn't even read the manual as everything speaks for itself.2. The screen's initial brightness setting is 50%, which is bright enough to be used outdoors in moderate lighting. However, if you set it to 100%, it is very bright, so you can easily work with it outdoors. I read that this used to be a problem with their old cameras3. I first switched the camera to non-human mode to test how it measures temperature in general. I found it fairly accurate at short and long ranges. I would say that a few degrees of deviation is normal for distant elements. But it is very convenient to use more without IR filter in the camera to quickly measure the temperature of objects.4. Now about its main feature - determining the temperature of the human body. It's really very impressive! The speed of temperature measurement is almost instantaneous. So, taking the temperature in the office immediately gave me an idea of the temperature of the visitors. As soon as they entered the office, the camera immediately measured the temperature of the moving object. This is something I didn't even expect. And the accuracy is very reliable up to 3-4 meters in my experience. It may continue to work, but the camera has been positioned that way. I set it up on a small tripod and placed it on the desk. We didn't have a high fever that day, but one child had 37.8 on his forehead and the camera recognized it immediately and sounded an alarm. I tried different settings and found the factory setting to be nearly optimal, although I liked the wide-angle Gaussian filter as it is the most accurate for measuring body temperature. I love the fact that the lens isn't just a macro lens. This is probably close to a 50mm camera lens if you don't need to be too far from the subject to get a good body range, which is usually a problem with other thermal cameras. I also had the opportunity to compare it to FLIR. Camera and found this camera to be superior to FLIR as a human temperature detector due to its accuracy, much higher SPEED, convenience and overall design than dedicated human body temperature camera. It also has automatic image capture for people with fevers, which is great. Looking at the contents of the memory card, I found that it was capturing CSV files with all timing values and metafiles for all measurements. I've had other similar devices in the past but I find this to be the best of them all and could actually replace all of my home thermometers as well. :) Nice tool for family use. Other things I liked were the ability to swap out the battery if needed, the touchscreen, and the ability to save images to an external memory card. In terms of improvements, I would personally like to be able to set and adjust the temperature of the IR sensor and calibrate it to my needs. Depending on the environment you are in, human skin can sometimes reflect different temperatures in cold environments, so I think compensation adjustment is needed. I believe that the resolution of the IR sensor is quite sufficient for measuring body temperature, I don't think that a higher resolution is needed just for this purpose. the main release button on the handle for a second or two. But once the mode is activated, you can use the left and right buttons to adjust the trigger temperature. Overall, I think this camera seems like a great solution when you need to quickly and reliably take the temperature of passing visitors.
